Structural Integration
This modality addresses the connective tissue that covers everything in the body known as fascia. By using slow deep stokes, fascia is heated and realigned to bring the body into its best possible alignment.
Most often used to help correct postural mis-alignments, this work requires client participation and is usually performed while clothed. Clients experience the best results when the recommended ten sessions (one per week) are completed.
Structural Integration can be uncomfortable. Constant communication with your therapist is important to ensure maximum benefit.
Maternity Massage
A welcome treat for any "mommy-to-be", maternity massage helps relieve the aches and pains associated with pregnancy. With comfort and safety (of mom and baby) always foremost in mind, you can experience a relaxing and pain reducing full body massage at any stage of your pregnancy. Take the time to pamper yourself (before the baby comes) and experience relief from low back pain, swollen feet/ankles, neck and shoulder pain. Regular massage during pregnancy also helps keep the hips loose for the birth process. Make sure to check with your doctor before hand.
Raindrop Therapy
A unique modality designed to detoxify the body that has its origins in Lakota healing practices. Medicinal essential oils are dropped down the spine and worked into the body with light, relaxing strokes. Moist heat is then applied to deepen the penetration of the oils. The detoxification process can last up to seven days!
Medical Massage
Utilizing very specific protocols, medical massage "reprograms" injured soft tissue to restore it to its optimal length and normal response. This work is spot specific and designed to address injuries that have been diagnosed by a doctor. Some of the most common injuries are whiplash, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive motion injuries.
This is often billable to Workmen's Compensation and/or personal injury (automotive) insurance with a doctor's prescription. Contact us for any specific questions or a personal consultation.
